A year in the life 2016 #178: 30

This is my reaction when my trainer tells me I’ll be doing a similar program to usual but sets of 30 reps rather than 15.

And below is how I look after the hour plus it took me to get through that.

A year in the life 2016 #172: Duolingo

One of the things I have been doing with my time has been reviving my French. Duolingo has been super good for that. I have managed 60+ days straight. It is rather fun and good to restore old skills.

A year in the life 2016 #157: training

It has been lots of fun training regularly again. Nice to not be constantly travelling for work and instead being able to make it to training on a regular and predictable basis!

A year in the life 2016 #145: quick trip to the McLaren

A grey morning in the McLaren with a quick trip to a couple of more obscure favourites – Kangarilla Road and Samuel’s Gorge – then a lovely lunch at the Barn. No better way to spend a rainy day.

A year in the life 2016 #134: another salad for lunch

I wouldn’t say that I am dieting in any way (god forbid) but I am taking advantage of being at home and having the time to buy the things I like and prepare what I like to eat salads and things a lot more, especially at lunch. Delicious and healthy and relaxed.

A year in the life 2016 #127: sizzling in the rain

I was on sausage sizzle duty again today for Lil Adelaide Rollers. It was a cold(ish), wet and windy day – the day ended with wild seas and lots of storm damage. Fortunately our gazebo was firmly anchored to the ground. Opinion amongst the sausage purchasers was divided as to whether it was an ideal day or a terrible day for selling sausages.

I was just pleased I got my own sausage reward.

A year in the life 2016 #124: toes

2016-05-06 11.47.21One of the upsides of time off is that you can do leisurely things like pedicures with your best friend then lunch at the beach. A lovely way to end a week.
