A year in the life 2016 #286: Prime Sinisters!

Tonight was a super exciting night because the Prime Sinisters – the CRDL junior team – final got to play as a team for the first  time. I was privileged to get to line up manage for them.

They are a terrific bunch of kids – so positive and supportive of each other and their opposition, respectful of what everyone can contribute , but still competitive and determined to win.

And win they did – beating the Blue Mountains and playing some terrific derby in the process. It was great to see them shine – and have a lot of fun!

A year in the life 2016 #259: bouts and drives

Sunday was spent at the stadium. Sebastian had two games and I watched Capital Carnage play one and then it was time to drive home again with more bad singing and car dancing. Nice to be home to my bed and the rest of the family though.

A year in the life 2016 #258: Bateau Bay

While Sebastian and my day involved a bit of the above, we also managed the below.

Unlike my trip to the Gold Coast during the week, this time I actually got to stand on the sand.

And a compulsory beach selfie, with compulsory teenage mugging.

A year in the life 2016 #228: derby training

The boys are back in the swing of CRDL Juniors training. I am finding the time is perfect for doing shoping related chores at Woden. Win win.

A year in the life 2016 #200: back at derby

The boys were very happy to be back at their first practice with CRDL Kids. While they had fun in Adelaide and learnt new skills and made friends with the Lil Adelaide Rollers, there is nothing like being back with your first team.

A year in the life 2016 #165: from sick bed to gym floor

Took the boys to scrim. Still felt like death and Zac was too sick to come, but we made it there.

A year in the life 2016 #103: big day for Zachary

Today we went to assembly at school to see Zachary get a term award – he’s a certified Terrific Kid apparently. Also got to see Jude sing with his choir so that was a bonus.

Then Zac had his first scrim with Lil Adelaide Rollers – playing with the big kids now!
