A year in the life 2016 #326: an office away from my office

Because there was definitely too much going on for me to have the day off work, I went back to the Adelaide office where I spent January and February to utilise their office facilities. I gotthe office with the view today too. It was slightly weird to be looking at that view again and see the folk in the Adelaide office.

A year in the life 2016 #175: walks in the parklands

I have said it before, but the South Parklands are lovely to walk around when you need to get your steps up at the end of a day. And when the sun is starting to set, lovely.

A year in the life 2016 #135: colours

I had a day with the boys (pupil free day) which we ended by going to see Captain America: Civil War. It was dark by the time we left so we got to see the colours of the carpark! It is a very cool display, especially given it is all powered by solar energy.

A year in the life 2016 #127: sizzling in the rain

I was on sausage sizzle duty again today for Lil Adelaide Rollers. It was a cold(ish), wet and windy day – the day ended with wild seas and lots of storm damage. Fortunately our gazebo was firmly anchored to the ground. Opinion amongst the sausage purchasers was divided as to whether it was an ideal day or a terrible day for selling sausages.

I was just pleased I got my own sausage reward.

A year in the life 2016 #116: dumplings with grandparents

2016-04-28 13.19.49We caught up with Nana and Poppa for an enormous and delicious yum cha lunch today. Dad is still recovering from his knee reconstruction, so it was an excuse for him to get out of the house. And who really needs an excuse to eat an enormous pile of delicious dumplings?

A year in the life 2016 #112: walks in the cemetery

James and I went for a long walk j today which included walking through West Terrace Cemetery. I really like it – crumbly graves and all. So much history to be found on tombstones, insights into the past. And so old. And pretty. Would definitely be

a bit spooky

at night…

A year in the life 2016 #107: paddle boats

The boys and I decided to check out the paddle boats on the Torrens. These things are pretty hard work – especially when you have done a legs session at the gym!

Zac and I got pursued up the river – but they couldn’t take us!
