House build update!

We got to have a walk around the house now the frame is up just before the walls went in. very cool to see the progress and start to get a feel for it.

It is exciting to see it really taking shape as a house.

Looking forward to even more progress.

A year in the life 2016 #250: shared interests

I love how hockey is something James shares with the boys. Together they can talk in depth about positions and plays and tactics. I have learnt a fair bit bout it from years of watching, but it isn’t the same. For the boy folk of my family it is a shared love – and it is a wonderful thing to watch.

A year in the life 2016 #249: appropriate dress

Andrew is wearing the correct tt-hirt for a night playing Eldritch Horror.

A year in the life 2016 #248: learning journey

This year we are down to just one learning journey – Zac’s. Always good to have a chance to see what he is up to at school. His creative writing has lots of creativity and he is still doing well in his maths. He seems to have settled well back into school work at Turner as well as making new friends and renewing old friendships.

A year in the life 2016 #247: afternoon negronis and catch ups

Post work catch ups should always involve a negroni and gossip I think.

A year in the life 2016 #246: ice cream sandwich

Sebastian had made chocolate icecream for dinner with Rachel. He decided tonight to make cookies so we could ave icecream sandwiches with the leftovers.

He wasn’t actually a naked chef – just shirtless…

A year in the life 2016 #245 a: a visit from Rachel

Always lovely to have a visit from Rachel, especially as the boys hadn’t really seen her since our return to Canberra. We did miss our friends while we were away.

A year in the life 2014 #243: Tournament of the Minds

This year it was finally Jude’s turn to do TOMs. His team was in the Language and Literature part of the competition and he was….someone blue. They did a good job, but sadly didn’t make  it through to the state finals. He had fun and it was a good chance to learn though. And finally to have a go – something he had wanted to do for years.

A year in the life 2016 #242: can’t beat a good negroni

Something for a Saturday.

A year in the life 2016 #241: borrowed dice

Good to be back playing D&D, even with borrowed dice.
