A year in the life 2016 #226: play dough, ducks and burgers

Two days in Sydney, well North Ryde, for a course on Wicked Problems. I had hoped for an in-depth look at complex public policy problems and the approaches that have been used to try and address them. It….wasn’t that. Instead we had play dough.

I got really good at making play dough roses.

At least the campus at Macquarie is beautiful (and lots of Pokestops).

There were also ducks – and Slowpokes.

Being the excellent EA that he is, work James had located me a nearby gym and organised a guest pass, so I got to gym and then treat myself with a hamburger afterwards. So all was not lost.

Look, I don’t mind doing a course about using creativity to solve complex problems (though the mind boggled at what some people thought were actually complex), but it really wasn’t I had been expecting. Or hoping for, to be honest.
